To Abraxas Flies the Bird (Danny Phantom fanfic) To Abraxas Flies the Bird

Disclaimer: Do not own DP, Viacom/Nickolodeon/Butch Hartman does and they would be disapproving of this fic indeed.
AN: The title is a reference/paraquote of Demian, by Hessian. This is a fan sequel to Between Infancy and Adultury by Molly Sugar, which is a fan sequel to WTFWonder's The Prize (see the DeviantArt version for the link to the sequel). The theme here is doubt. I'm so going to hell... The ending was hard to write... I went through five different alternate endings! This one was exactly what I was aiming for. If you don't like your endings mindscrewy, stop at Vlad's "eating your words" comment.

This is really going to hurt. Danny didn't flinch, but he didn't stop himself from shrieking in agony when the ectoplasm hit his body, making him a halfa once more. Eyes that had been blue for over a year now glowed green, hair that had been black with a white streak was now purely white and once familiar hazmat felt welcome, if a bit strange. Danny Phantom had been reborn. This, however gave him no comfort.
Having his powers back meant not a damn thing now.
Vlad looked pleased, if anything as Danny stumbled away from the contraption, still feeling ill and off-balance from the re-emergance of his ghostly self. He caught sight of his reflection and almost laughted. The reflection in the polished chrome was just past a growth spurt, skinny as hell yet not anorexic and stared back with haunted eyes, pun fully intended. His costume had changed somewhat; it now looked like another sans the cape. The irony did not escape him. Yeah, this was so much better than being on a killing spree, full ghost and free, not getting raped several times a week by his archrival.
"How is it, Daniel?" Vlad had morphed to his ghostly form.
Half his mind wanted to tell Vlad exactly where he could go and up what he could shove his stupid questions; but if he couldn't beat Plasmius before, he doubted that much, if anything, had changed since his life had narrowed to the "home" (now a tower) of the undisputed king of the world. He had not much of an idea of what was going on in the outside world anymore and he almost didn't want to know. He floated in the air. "It's good to fly."
He had missed it most most out of all his powers; invisiblility and tangibility ranking close second. They had been so damn useful, back when he had a real life. The rules of physics no longer applied to him at least, even if others still did. He flew around the room fast as he could, the relative freedom intoxicating-until he hit the ghost shield.
Plasmius chuckled at Danny's expression, which seemed between sorrow and bitter grief, which quickly turned to pure resentment. "Indeed it is, Daniel."
Danny was not amused. "This... you-!" He sputtered in rage, barely able to speak. "Get a cat, fruitloop!"
"Oh, Daniel." He tsked. "You really shouldn't test me. Oh well; I've been waiting for this chance, anyway." The look of mild annoyance was replaced by a smug, leering grin.
It could never get easier for him; even as a hybrid once more, all it meant was a slightly less wide gulf of strength between them. Danny evaded the older hybrid, wanting to avoid his particular brand of 'affections'. Not that it would do much but put it off; he would still get what Vlad intended for him. As long as he fought in the small ways, he told himself, Vlad had not truely won.
He hardly believed it anymore. He clawed at Vlad's chest and kicked at him as he was caught, cursing, screaming, pulling at hair yet not begging as he was carried to their bed. Begging did nothing but waste air. He very briefly considered a ghostly wail but recalled that it wasn't nearly as effective on Vlad as a normal ghost. He gave into it, Plasmius on top, kissing various places, pulling off clothes. Danny groaned in pain, pleasure and shame as Vlad entered him. He squeezed his eyes shut, breathing hard as Vlad began, going slowly and deliberately. Danny moaned as Vlad nipped at the teen's ear. So much better than the first time-Plasmius had made sure that time had been harsh.
He began moaning louder as Plasmius went faster, harder. Both cried out as Plasmius climaxed, collapsing onto the bed. For once, Danny didn't push Vlad away. He could go to the bathroom to clean himself up, to wash away proof of his captivity, but he was starting to forget what it was like to be free. He'd even felt grateful to Vlad for the first few moments of flight; he was losing himself, actually getting used to it all.
He couldn't even escape in his dreams anymore and all the books in the world couldn't make him forget. He'd lost, it wasn't "for now," the only way the next day would be any different would be in that he'd wake up able to use his powers. He couldn't say he totally hated it anymore; he couldn't say he would fight in the morning if Vlad wanted sex. He felt a hollow sense of defeat. He couldn't save anyone, not even (especially) himself.
He did fight anyway, of course. With his powers returned, most days he flew whenever he could, even while reading, only taking breaks for needs like food or sex. Odd how that had turned into a need. He'd very briefly tried to make ice statues of things and people and things he missed, but he could hardly remember what they looked like anymore. He still remembered them, but details escaped him; hadn't Sam worn a ponytail? He gave up on it-he wasn't an artist, he was-he was... well, he didn't know anymore.
Danny had placed the last of the little statues in the sink to melt when Vlad came in, an arrogant smirk on his face. That's right, he was the prize. "Ah, Daniel, you look glum today."
Danny favored Vlad with a withering glare, but sighed. "At least I'm not alone when you're here."
"Are you getting lonely, Little Badger?" Vlad's expression became one of amusement, still leering.
"I'm just tired!" Danny shot back, frustrated. "I can hardly even remember what my friends look like anymore!"
Vlad became utterly serious. "You know what you must do." The older man reminded him.
"I'm tired of fighting all the time... I'm tired of being alone and I'm tired of-of you raping me all the time! I don't mind the sex anymore, but maybe I'd like the chance to be able to say yes or no once in a while. I get horny too, sometimes!" Danny snapped, blushing scarlet.
Vlad looked a little surprised. "Are you asking me to top?"
"What? Yes! I mean-that's not what I meant!" Danny was flustered, his face now beet red.
Vlad laughed, drawing close to Danny, speaking in soft, silky tones, grabbing Danny's hips. "So, Daniel, tell me-" Vlad's hands roamed, grasping Danny's buttocks, grinding against the younger man's pelvis; "-did you only come to that conclusion recently," One of Vlad's arms now encircled his waist while his other hand traced its way around and down his belly; "...or have you been trying to gather the courage?" The roaming hand now massaged Danny's manhood, which responded readily.
Danny breathed heavily, moaning. "Oh, god... I've wanted to say that... ahh... for a while... ohh."
Kissing his jawline and suckling on a sensitive spot on Danny's ear, Vlad chuckled throatily as Danny arched his hips. "Are you horny now, Little Badger?" Vlad purred.
Danny gasped, his toes curling, pleasure warming his lower abdomin. "Oh my god, Vlad..." Danny had his arms around Vlad, his hands clutching, his fingers digging into Vlad's back. "I-I want this..."
Vlad kissed him deeply, Danny letting the man explore his mouth, not quite sure about his own movement, moving one hand to Vlad's pants, feeling the already hardened penis up for himself. From the way Vlad vocalized and both his hands tightening, Danny gathered that Vlad liked being molested, very much.
The broke apart, both breathing hard. "So, Daniel." Vlad spoke in a conversational tone.
"Call me Danny, Vlad."
The older man grinned. "Only when you say I win, Little Badger."
Danny rolled his eyes. "If you think I'll ever say that, you're a bigger fruitloop than I ever gave you credit for."
"Ooh, testy. You'll be eating your words soon enough."
Danny's face went blank and he unconciously took a step back. "Wh-what am I doing?" He spoke, horror and disgust dawning on him.
"It's a little thing a creature like Spectra might call Stockholdm Syndrome, my dear. It's setting in quite nicely. YOu already lust for me. It's only a matter of time before the rest follows. Today's been very productive." Vlad led Danny into their bedroom, making the boy lay down as he shook, covering him up tenderly with a parting kiss.
Danny never noticed nor did he react. Vlad exited the suite and found distrusting blue eyes in the surveillance room. "You're lucky I do this for Danielle." The person in gront of him could have almost been Maddie's twin. She was the next best thing: her daughter.
"Ah, yes. I gather he went into shock?"
Jazz looked at the screens. "Yes, he did. He wasn't quite ready to face it yet. Delayed reactions can take a while. He won't be fuctioning for a while. I'd give him another two months tops before he cracks. I hate doing this, but better it be me than Spectra."
Vlad did not smile. "That psuedo-sibling/daughter of yours. How is she developing?"
Jazz threw him a look of pure hate. "She's developing fire." She spoke flatly. "How did you know she'd started calling me mom?"
"I have ways, Jasmine. At least she'll be unlikely to ask why mom and dear old dad don't get together."
"Because she knows that answer, you sick monster." Jazz replied grimly.
Vlad leered at her. "Ah, but she doesn't know what you do to keep her safe, now does she, Jasmine?" She didn't answer, refusing to look at her employer. "This total solitary confinement... it will work?"
Jazz bent her head in shame. "Yes, it will."
"The next two months will conclude your former debt to me."
Jazz suddenly looked up, worried. "A... former debt? Like what!?"
"Your double cross that cost me the ectxo-Suit, of course. I could rebuild that contraption, but your betrayal was quite the blow, Jasmine. Quite clever for seventeen, actually."
"What else could you possibly want from me?" Dread made her stomach churn.
Vlad chuckled darkly. "I think I'll have fun revealing that."
